Rodney Carrington is a multitalented comedian, actor, and writer who has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over 3 million copies. Morning Wood has been certified gold and Greatest Hits has just been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Rodney starred in his own TV sitcom Rodney, which ran for two seasons on ABC. He also co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer for My Horses. According to Pollstar, Rodney was the 4th highest grossing touring comedian in 2009 and he has consistently been in the top ten over the past ten years. He regularly performs to sold out crowds across the US and Canada.
In 2008, Rodney co-wrote and co-starred in a major motion picture with music star Toby Keith entitled Beer for My Horses. The movie debuted in theatres nationwide in August 2008 and on CMT in November 2008. Beer for My Horses was released on DVD on November 11, and is currently on CMT. The movie just recently won the Tex Ritter award from the Academy of Country Music for 2009.
